Magnet - Superior Window Management For Productivity
I use Magnet to manage my windows with shortcuts. I can’t live without it. The productivity I gain when using hotkeys to move windows around my screen is amazing. I don’t need to make micro-adjustments with my mouse–which is tedious. I simply click a hotkey, and the window instantly snaps into place.
I should state that I am not affiliated with Magnet. I am simply a long-time and very happy user.
Rectangle is another one that I have used and is solid. Their pro version has a few more features like pre-saved layouts. However, I personally don’t use Rectangle.
Here are the 10 main hotkeys that I use to improve my productivity.
1. Move window to fill left-hand side - CTRL + SHIFT + LEFT ARROW
2. Move window to fill right-hand side - CTRL + SHIFT + RIGHT ARROW

3. Move window to fill top half - CTRL + SHIFT + UP ARROW
4. Move window to fill bottom half - CTRL + SHIFT + DOWN ARROW

5. Move window to fill top left-hand corner - CTRL + SHIFT + U
6. Move window to fill top right-hand corner - CTRL + SHIFT + I

|
8. Move window to fill bottom left-hand corner - CTRL + SHIFT + J
9. Move window to fill bottom right-hand corner - CTRL + SHIFT + K

10. Expand window to fill (this is not full screen) - CTRL + SHIFT + ENTER

There are many other layout options and hotkeys that you can set. You can do two thirds, centering, move between desktops, and more. Give Magnet a shot! I hope it improves your productivity as much as it did for me.
